From Vision To Reality.

OC Health Clubs began with a simple belief. Life is better when you feel better.

We saw that many people searching for a gym in Queenstown weren't really looking for equipment. They were looking for more energy, less pain, expert guidance, and a healthier life they could sustain.

So in 2021, we created Queenstown's first mind and body health club. A place where personalised coaching, strength training, fitness classes, and the OC Health House work together to help people build lasting health.

Today, every session is designed around the same philosophy. Better health comes from great coaching, proven systems, and a supportive community that helps you keep showing up.

Chaz Monaghan, Founding Director

Chaz founded OC Health Clubs with a vision to create Queenstown's first true health club - a place where sustainable fitness takes priority over extreme intensity. With over 15 years in the fitness industry and a passion for evidence-based training, Chaz has built a team and culture that puts member success first.

Avi, Coach

Avi will be helping support members through both training and recovery, bringing experience in personal training and physio support to the club. She brings a background in personal training and physio support, which means she understands the body not just as something to train, but as something to maintain.

Joe, Coach

Joe brings a unique blend of strength coaching expertise and genuine care for member wellbeing. His sessions are known for being challenging yet sustainable, pushing members to their potential without sacrificing form or safety.

Ash, Coach

Ash offers a masterclass in precision, using corrective exercise to support those navigating injuries or movement limits. From there, we build your personalised plan across training, nutrition, and sleep, complete a baseline assessment, and get you into your first session. No guesswork, no figuring it out alone.

I haven't trained in years. Is OC Health Clubs right for me?

Yes, and you're exactly who OC was built for. Our coaches adapt every session to where you are right now, not where you think you should be. Whether you're returning after years away or starting from scratch, you'll receive the same personalised attention and coaching as every other member.

What makes OC Health Clubs different from a gym in Queenstown?

At a regular gym, you pay a fee to hire equipment, then you're on your own. At OC Health Clubs, every session is coach-led. Your trainer knows your goals, your injuries, and your history. Your programme is built around you, your progress is tracked every six weeks, and if you don't show up, we check in. That's why our attendance rate is 92%, compared to an industry average of around 30%.

Can I train at OC Health Clubs if I have existing injuries?

Absolutely. Tell us about your injuries during your initial consultation and we'll build your programme around them. Our coaches are experienced in working with members managing back issues, knee problems, shoulder injuries, and chronic pain. Adapting movements in real time so you can train safely and make progress without setbacks.

How much does a membership at OC Health Clubs cost?

OC offers two pathways: a Group Classes membership with unlimited coached sessions per week, and a Personal Training membership with up to three personalised sessions per week. Both begin with a 28-day programme designed to build your foundation. Pricing is discussed during your free consultation so we can recommend the right option for your goals and schedule.

What are the class and session times at OC Health Clubs Queenstown?

We run 60+ sessions every week at our Queenstown facility, from 5:30am through to 7:30pm. Early enough for before-work training, flexible enough to fit around most schedules. Most members train three times per week. Your coach will help you find a routine that works for your lifestyle.

Can I switch between personal training and group classes?

Yes. We'll assess where you're at and guide you toward whichever option suits your goals and schedule best, and that can change over time as your needs evolve.

Is OC Health Clubs suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Many of our members had never set foot in a gym before joining OC Health Clubs in Queenstown. Our coaches meet you exactly where you are, no assumptions, no intimidation, and no generic programmes. Every session is adapted to your current level and progressed at a pace that's right for you.
