
THE BEGINNING
OC Health Clubs was born from a simple observation: Queenstown needed something different. Not another gym focused on extreme fitness or quick fixes, but a true health club where longevity, community, and evidence-based training came first.
Founded in 2021, we set out to create a space where busy professionals, parents, and anyone seeking sustainable health could find expert guidance without the intimidation factor. We wanted to build more than a gym - we wanted to build a community.
Everything we do is built on a set of beliefs we don't compromise on.

WHY WE STARTED
At OC, these are daily practices. Every decision we make, every session we run, and every interaction we have is guided by these seven principles. They're what OC is built on.
We believe health is more than just fitness. It's about creating a strong foundation that supports everything else in your life: Sleep, Nutrition, Exercise, Environment, and Goal setting working together.


Quality movement always comes before intensity. Sustainable progress and injury prevention aren't afterthoughts, they're the standard every session is held to. We'd rather you do 8 perfect reps than 12 compromised ones.

Exercise is one piece of the picture. Sleep, Nutrition, Environment, and Community all play an equal role. Every member's journey is built around all five pillars of the OC Health House, not just the hour they spend with us.

You're either growing or declining. Education cures fear. We educate as much as we motivate, because understanding creates ownership. Our coaches test every method on themselves first, then share what works.

Founding Director

As Lead Coach, Paddy oversees all programming at OC Health Clubs, ensuring every workout is purposeful, progressive, and appropriate for our members' goals. His approach combines strength training expertise with a deep understanding of movement quality.

Joel brings a unique blend of strength coaching expertise and genuine care for member wellbeing. His sessions are known for being challenging yet sustainable, pushing members to their potential without sacrificing form or safety.

Ash offers a masterclass in precision, using corrective exercise to support those navigating injuries or movement limits. Her sessions build deep body awareness, reversing the postural strains and imbalances of modern life. Expect a focused, supportive space where you’ll learn to move better, feel aligned, and build a resilient foundation for health.


Matt’s teaching is rooted in the transformative power of mindful movement. His sessions provide a serene escape, focusing on a gentle pace and intuitive flow that encourages deep self-awareness. By placing a strong emphasis on breath and alignment, Matt creates a compassionate space for students of all levels to explore their boundaries and find inner calmness.

Absolutely. Our training is perfect for beginners because you get personal attention without the pressure. Your coach modifies everything to your current fitness level. We cater to both advanced athletes and complete beginners.
At a regular gym, you're paying a fee to hire their equipment - then you're on your own. At OC, you get a coach in every session who ensures you're not only doing it right, but doing it in the most effective way for your goals.
Tell us about them. Our coaches are experts at working around limitations. We have members successfully training with back issues, knee problems, and various other concerns.
Our pricing depends on which option is best for you. We'll discuss your goals, and recommend either our standard or premium programme based on what you need.
We run 60+ sessions weekly from 5:45am to 7:30pm. Most members train 3 times per week. You'll find times that work with your schedule.
Yes! We'll evaluate where you're at with your training and guide you to whatever suits you best.
