Every session has a coach. You never walk in and figure it out yourself. You show up, you're led, you leave feeling better than when you arrived. Form over fatigue, always.

One focus per week

Before Day 1 you attend an induction, set your goal, and record your baseline numbers. Week 1 focuses on goals. Week 2 adds sleep. Nutrition runs across all four weeks. On Day 28 you retest the same numbers. Real data showing real change.

We notice when you're not there

If you miss a week without warning, we follow up. Not because we're checking up on you. Because at 92% attendance, showing up is what we do here, and we want that for you.

Before day 1

Attend induction and pick up your resources

The weekend before Day 1, you come in for your group induction. Set your 28-day goal, complete your Evolt body composition scan, and record your baseline numbers. Pick up your induction booklet and scorecard. Your digital resources land in your inbox the same day.

Every week

Train 3 times a week. Don't stop.

That's the threshold. Three sessions a week for four weeks. Each week has one new focus stacked on the last. Show up, get coached, build the habit. The leaderboard updates weekly so the whole community can see who's still in the race.

Retest. Collect your merch. Keep going.

What exactly is the OC Winter Challenge?

A structured 28-day health programme at OC Health Clubs designed to keep you training, building habits, and feeling better through the toughest stretch of winter. You get coached sessions every visit, an Evolt body composition scan, an induction booklet and scorecard, access to the Goals and Sleep Mastery courses, a Nutrition Guide running all four weeks, a weekly community leaderboard, a full retest on Day 28, and limited edition OC Winter Challenge merch if you hit the threshold. It runs 8 June to 6 July 2026.

How much does it cost?

$50 registration fee if you're already an OC member. If you're not a member yet, you join with a 1-month membership alongside your challenge entry. Cancel any time after your month is up. Either way, the $50 gets you into the challenge and everything that comes with it.

What sessions count towards the challenge?

All of them. Group classes and personal training sessions both count. If it's on the OC timetable during the challenge period, it counts. The threshold is 3 sessions per week across 4 weeks.

How does the leaderboard work?

Every week, session attendance is tracked and posted to the OC community. You can see exactly where you stand and who's still in the race alongside you. It's not about being first. It's about staying in it. The leaderboard keeps the community honest and keeps you accountable.

What is the limited edition merch and how do I earn it?

Limited edition OC Winter Challenge gear designed specifically for this intake. You can't buy it. You can only earn it by hitting the session threshold: 3 sessions per week for 4 weeks. Details confirmed at induction. We hand them out at the Day 28 retest.

I've never trained at OC before. Is this for me?

Yes. Every session is coach-led and every member works at their own level. The induction is designed to set you up properly from Day 1. The challenge is about showing up consistently, not about being the fittest person in the room. Form over fatigue, always.

What if I get sick or need to miss a week?

Talk to your coach. Life happens and we'd rather modify your plan than have you sitting at home. What we ask is that you don't go quiet. The accountability only works if the conversation stays open. Rest if you need to. Come back strong.

What's included in the digital resources?

You receive five digital resources when you join: Week 1 unlocks OC Goal Setting. Week 2 adds the OC Sleep Mastery course. Your OC Nutrition Foundation Course runs across all four weeks, building awareness without overwhelming you. Eat With the Season - Winter Edition (12 pages covering NZ winter seasonal foods, 9 recipes, warming teas, and a daily nourishment template) and Ground Down - Winter Mindfulness Guide (8 pages with 6 home practices including breathwork, yoga nidra, and a winter solstice ritual for June 21). Everything are yours to keep. All resources land in your inbox the day of your induction.

I'm already pretty fit. Will this challenge me?

The challenge is what you make it. The consistency requirement is what trips up even the fittest people. Showing up 3 times a week when it's dark, cold, and your bed is warm, that's the test. Winter is the challenge. The programme just gives you the structure to pass it.
